About Turning Point Healing Center & Dr. Susan Russell

Susan F. Russell, L.M.S.W., L.AC., PH.D., TH.D., is the Director of Turning Point Healing Center, LLC, a multi-modality educational healing center located in Marietta, Georgia. Her background as a psychotherapist and acupuncturist allows her to incorporate a deeper understanding of underlying emotional patterns that often influence an imbalance in one's body. Susan's fluency in five languages allows her to work with a multi-cultural client base.
As a Doctor of Integrative Energy Medicine and Holism, Susan offers bioenergetic therapies including: Acupuncture, N.A.E.T., REIKI, Chinese Therapy/Five Element Theory, Hypnotherapy, Flower Essences, Auricular Detox, Smoking Cessation, Moxa Therapy, Mental Feng Shui and Facial Rejuvenation.
Guest speaker on "Change Your Mind, Change Your Life" with host Suzi Marsh, L.C.S.W. (Sundays at 7:00am on WSB 98.5 FM in Atlanta), Ms. Russell speaks on the subject of Acupuncture, Bioenergetics and Chinese Medicine and Body/Mind Psycho-Energetics. Her studies included Oriental Medicine and Bioenergetics. She holds a Ph.D. in Energy Medicine and a Th.D. in Theology of Holism from Holos University Graduate Seminary and is a state Licensed and Board Certified Acupuncturist. Susan actively practices Qi Gong and Meditation.
Susan is also the grandmother of two bright and happy grandchildren.

Many people ask me what I do to stay vibrant.
I have developed a practice of being committed to what creates health for me. This encompasses supports for physical health such as foods and qi cultivation through QiGong, mental and emotional well being which includes inner personal work a refinement of self that is a perpetual evolving process known as self cultivation as well as cultivating supportive relationships. There is a constant fluid change as I become more and more balanced.
Wake up 5:30am - ½ hour meditation
6:00am - carrots, celery, cucumber, apple, lemon, orange, grapefruit, lime, lemon, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme oregano mint lavender, cilantro, (fresh grown herbs from my herb garden), eucalyptus, Fresh Ginger, dash of cinnamon and cayenne. Leave on counter to remove chill.

6:10am - Trampoline 10 minutes to mobilize lymph
Tibetan Body qi cleansing detox: Tapping: Ear, Brain, torso, Full body tapping of meridians according to the natural direction of the flow of qi.
Free weights: side bends, arms - Wide Grey rubber band leg and arm stretches

6:45am - QiGong, I rotate styles as it feels like my system needs a change. Additional QiGong (Ch’iGong) Styles: Da Dao Chang, 18 Buddha hands, Crane Style, Eight Treasures.
7:45am - Gratitude and Seeing Day flow
8:00am - Fresh juice, herbs and tonic as needed
8:15am - Get Dressed
When I leave my office I pause in gratitude.
Prior to going to bed I do a fifteen minute meditation and gratitude for all of my blessings, this includes gratitude for important relationships, the gift of my health, creativity and the abundance and joy in my life.
Evening primrose, calcium magnesium, herbs as needed.

Health History ….. Dr. Susan Russell
Each of us moves towards wellness for personal reasons. Each journey is unique. This is a piece of my journey. My life has been woven with as many great stories as well.
I experimented with many foods shifting favorite recipes into the organic arena. I continued to self educate regarding options and coming to understand the beauty and full capacity of the human body to heal itself.
Once I began to study Chinese medicine I came to appreciate the body in new and deeper ways. I learned several style’s of QiGong, energy medicine how to see and feel and direct the flow of qi.
